Designing and Building a Rube Goldberg Machine.

We have been learning about Rube Goldberg Machines. They use chain reactions to do something our goal was to trap a “monster”.

The hardest part for me was trying to find what I needed.

But I liked it when I built it and made 3 more,but my least favourite was when my first one got destroyed.

My design was different to my final machine.

Number Story Problems

I took a screenshot of some maths story problems and drew/found pictures to solve the problems.This helped show that multiplication is repeated additio.

Picture Math Stories

In class we drew pictures to show multiplication equations. We flipped the equations to show that the answer was the same, even though the stories that the numbers were telling different. Here is my example.

Roald Dahl Theme Evidence

This week we were learning about themes for a good ebook of cooperation and teamwork. I thought page 31 and 73 would be good for evidence cooperation and teamwork.

Finding Text Evidence

I found character adjectives In a book about billy and a pelican.Next I found text evidence that they have adjectives 1st off Billy.Page:2 “oh boy what I couldn’t have done with that old Grubber shop if it had been mine Page:10 he danced wonderfully well Page:28 “your cherries your grace” next the pelly. Page:15“So I hide it away for the rest of the day! even so,i’m still able to speak! and wherever flown it has been known as the Pelly’s Patend Beak Page:13 “hop in my beak I’ll take you to the top”           :)

I learnt that Mount Wellington is a volcano and well....you can learn too.I think that mount Wellington is a volcano because the circle on top it looks like a crater. ;)

                                          ENGINEERS REPORT! problem:to build the impossible bridge.

What I did:I made my bridge out of yellow paper and I thought of making it the golden gate bridge.But I also thought of making it the London bridge.What I found out:If you try you can also make a impossible bridge too if you try you can make bridges any time :).

My clay building

We learnt about earthquakes. We made structures out of clay that might withstand a earthquake.And I made this clay structure with Kayson and Lucas we thought it would survive an earthquake because it was made of a sting material (metal). 

From plastic bottles to clothes

Be good and throw away rubbish to be awesome at being a star at cleaning up rubbish :)
